How to Repair an Electric Iron

Electric Irons are very cheap nowadays.
I wonder why one wants to repair it anyway.
So I was walking along a lonely street few days ago and I came across a lady carry an electric iron.
As she was approaching me, I stopped for a moment.
There she was asking me some questions.
I thought she wanted some street directions.
But I guessed wrong.
She wanted to know where to send her electric iron for repair.
She said she has gone to almost all the electrical shop in town and she couldn't find someone to do the repair for her.
I was surprised to know that.
Then I asked why she wanted to repair it.
She said she had sentimental value in it.
So I offered to help out.
I took it back to my workbench and have a close look at it.
There I found the neutral wire open circuit with a burn mark.
Tested the element and found it intact.
So I changed the whole length of cable and tested it out.
Works perfect.
There I returned it to a complete stranger.
The smile on her face makes me happy too.
